
General qualifications for Thailand VISA Applicants
The general qualifications for individuals wishing to apply for a visa to Thailand are as follows:
- Must possess a valid passport or a document equivalent to a passport with a minimum validity of 6 months.
- Must provide evidence showing that they will depart from Thailand at the end of their stay, such as a plane ticket, and must have a visa or document indicating that they can return to their country of residence or travel onward to another country (in the case of transit).
- Must not be a prohibited person from entering the country as per the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979), such as having been convicted and imprisoned by a Thai court or a foreign court, being suspected of being a threat to society, potentially causing harm to public order and safety, or being a person for whom a warrant has been issued by a foreign government.
- Must have sufficient funds for expenses during their stay in Thailand as specified, with a minimum of 20,000 Baht per person.
